Dance For Health - Tools & Teaching
Modul VI: Conclusion
A year full of learning, a year like a dance—our participants have put down roots and gained wings. Are you ready to carry Dance for Health out into the world or weave it into your work like a golden thread? Now, after this journey full of experiences, we call you back to Artis Umbria to celebrate together.
Here, where our story began, the circle closes in festive splendor. Each graduate brings a gift – a work that comes from the heart, created for the community. Fabiana, our companion, guides us through this moment, inviting us to immerse ourselves in dance and meditation, to let our souls soar.
In the embrace of Artis Umbria, you can experience Dance for Health in all its colors: float in meditation, wander through nature, dive into the cool water, or whisper with the animals—all at your own gentle rhythm.
Come, let us celebrate this moment in poetry and movement!

Meet your companions
Fabiana studied ballet at the National Ballet School in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Graham and Horton Technique in New York, USA. In 1991 she met Isamel Ivo, with whom she worked and remained artistically connected until his death. After a back injury she embarked on a new path - dance now took on a new role and transformed itself into a means of inner realization and a tool for dissolving energetic blockages.
Her many years of dance experience, her studies in kinesiology together with training in integrative breathing techniques, as well as the influence of Ismael and the experience with the indigenous people of her native country led to the development of her own Dance for Health technique.
Kerstin is a dance researcher, teacher and mentor specializing in somatics and improvisation. Her artistic doctoral research at the University of Auckland, New Zealand explored myofascia in movement. Her most recent work, the matter of fascia, emerged from this research and can be viewed at www.fasciamatters.info. Prior to this she explored creative processes in contact improvisation using embodied cognition.
Kerstin leads the Embodied Myoreflex Practitioner training - in collaboration with Dr Mosetter (Konstanz) and ImPulsTanz – of which the second cycle begins at the end of 2024. Part of the training takes place at Artis Umbria, which she is building as an ecosomatic place for movement and ease (artisumbria.com). She founded IDOCDE with the associated symposium, which today operates as the Lace Symposium at ImPulsTanz. She is mentor for the ImPacT program at ImPulsTanz.
After a degree in natural sciences, a career as a project manager and intensive parental parental leave, Barbara felt a strong urge to delve deeper into various methods of alternative and complementary medicine, which had been with her all her life.
With the help of kinesiology, she worked on and resolved many personal issues and discovered new ways of dealing with life's challenges. As a result, she recognized her strengths and was able to develop her full potential.
After successfully completing her training as a complementary therapist in kinesiology Barbara has now been guiding people for several years, helping them to use their past experiences and learnings as a treasure and resource to lead a life full of joy.
For her work with groups, she uses dance meditation, inspired by Dance for Health, as an effective tool to take people on a moving journey of exploration through the landscapes and and images of their inner world.
